The state is offering incentives to help homeowners install solar systems, including nearly $1 billion for low-income households. By investing in solar energy and energy storage, California aims to reduce its reliance on outdated, overloaded electrical grids that pose fire risks, as seen in the Palisades Fire. With goals of 60% renewable energy by 2030, this transition not only advances sustainability but also helps combat the dangers of aging infrastructure and prevent future fire tragedies.
